'100%': Lovren of whether Salah is jealous of him being at World Cup

Mo Salah and Dejan Lovren developed a close friendship when they played together for Liverpool, and it continues now the defender plays for Zenit St Petersburg.

The Croatian will play at the World Cup while Salah's Egypt failed to qualify, losing to Senegal in the African play-offs.

"100 per cent," Lovren told the Daily Mail when asked if Salah is jealous of him.

"I would also be jealous. He said he will support me, it is nice to hear that. To be honest I'm sad he didn't qualify, he was so close. But unfortunately [Sadio] Mane was better.

"He has said he will come [to Qatar]... with a Croatia flag!"
