Virgil van Dijk plays 90 minutes vs Qatar as Netherlands top World Cup group

The Netherlands predictably defeated Qatar 2-0 in the final game of the group stage to top their quartet.

The goals were scored by Cody Gakpo and Frenkie de Jong, the players linked with Liverpool at some point over the last months.

Virgil van Dijk has not missed a single minute of action as the Dutch side won two games in their group and drew with Ecuador.

In the last 16, the Netherlands are facing the second-placed team from Group B - which means they might well avoid facing England at this early stage.
