Liverpool-linked Enzo Fernandez unavailable in January, release clause revealed (reliability: 5 stars)

According to Fabrizio Romano, Benfica and Argentina attacking midfielder Enzo Fernandez will not be available for sale in January unless his €120m release clause is triggered.

Earlier, Portuguese media outlet A Bola reported that Liverpool have their eyes on the player who made an impression on a lot of fans at the World Cup.

It's claimed that the 21-year-old is a target for Liverpool sporting director Julian Ward who has completed deals for Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez with Portuguese clubs in less than a year.

However, now that Ward is planning to leave the club before the summer transfer window, their transfer campaign might be in disarray.
