According to Team Talk's Graeme Bailey, Liverpool are considering handing new contracts to Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain by the end of the season.
The Reds are now keen on keeping the players beyond the end of the season when their contracts are due to expire. Perhaps they get a one or two-year extension.
Both players have struggled a lot with injuries with Keita missing almost two seasons through injuries based on our calculations. The same goes for Chamberlain.
However, Liverpool have seen both players recover and remain fit for the past two months, with Chamberlain scoring for the first time in almost a year.
Signing a new midfielder in the summer is still on Liverpool's agenda, but for now, they want to hold on to the two players while chasing after new recruits.
