Thiago, Matip & 6 more Liverpool players with contracts expiring in less than 18 months: listed

Liverpool have a whole host of players who could become free agents this year already - but also a couple of key starting XI regulars whose current deals expire in 18 months or less.

James Milner. Jurgen Klopp has already expressed a desire to keep the veteran in the team for another season. He's just turned 37 years old.

Adrian. The third-choice keeper is already 36 years old, too, and there's a chance he might return to his homeland after a few years at Anfield.

Roberto Firmino. All the parties involved are keen on extending the Brazilian's stay at Liverpool - but they will likely have to compromise.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 29-year-old is set to leave as a free agent this summer after several injury-ravaged seasons.

Naby Keita. The least clear-cut case of them all. He'll likely have a chance to stay at Anfield beyond this season if he remains fit and plays regularly.

Arthur. There's next to zero chance that the midfielder's loan from Juventus is going to be extended beyond June.

Thiago. Unlike all the previous players, Thiago has a contract that runs until June 2024. He's arguably been the most consistent Liverpool midfielder this season - but he's already 31 years old and has a checkered injury history.

Joel Matip. The centre-back's situation is almost identical to that of Thiago - age, contract length, injuries. So far, the club's long-term plans for the duo are unknown.
