Jurgen Klopp has hinted that he's prepared to stay at Liverpool for the next 10 years. The Reds gaffer is backed by fans to do so given the success he's achieved so far and his pragmatic approach to management.
However, it seems like the Liverpool owners have not backed Klopp in the transfer market, particularly when compared to clubs like Chelsea and Manchester City. Still, Klopp defends their ideology and works with what he's got.
A Liverpool fan on Twitter Liverpoolgoals wants the gaffer to stop supporting FSG's ideology and demand immediate reinforcements to help the squad.
"This was the problem with him [Klopp] taking the extension, Klopp was only thinking about anything and didn't even question what FSG were going to do for him, that's why he just makes excuses for them all the time. He needs to stop being their yes man," Liverpoolgoals tweets.
Well, Klopp is not the fiery coach who challenges his employers like we've seen from Jose Mourinho or Antonio Conte. That means he'll hardly ever complain to FSG about their frugality.
In a recent interview, Klopp insisted that Liverpool's rebuild will take place in the long term unlike what's obtainable by the Premier League big spenders today.
To Klopp's credit, he's turned youngsters like Trent Alexander-Arnold and cheap articles like Andy Robertson into world beaters. Stefan Bajcetic is also being groomed into one to take over from Fabinho.
FSG may be banking on Klopp's ability to build a team rather than buy one. In today's football world that is a painfully slow way to do things although effective.
