On Saturday, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte went on a 10-minute rant slamming his players for lack of commitment and the club for a lack of ambition following their 3-3 draw at Southampton.
"They're used to it here. Don't play for something important. They don't want to play under pressure. They don't want to play under stress," Conte said.
"Tottenham's story is this! 20 years there is the owner & they never won something. Why?" he asked.
Liverpool's problem is not about a lack of trophies for '20 years' like Conte bemoans at Spurs. However, it is obvious that the club owners are among the most frugal in the Premier League top six to the chagrin of some Reds.
Thus, it's no surprise that there are Liverpool fans, especially on Twitter, who want their manager Jurgen Klopp to behave like Conte lash out at FSG for their perceived lack of investment in the squad.
💭Adam89: "You can’t allow owners to get away with things that makes no sense. That’s like Liverpool fans now saying Klopp is letting the owners get away with things. All those who speak up against owners are never there for the long term. Mourinho/Conte and others have clouded people's minds."

It's unlikely that Klopp will ever behave like Conte, for various reasons. There are many who believe Conte deserves to be sacked for his comments but the fiery Italian doesn't seem to care.
