Fabrizio Romano names one player who will leave Liverpool this summer – fans call him biggest flop in Klopp era

"Naby Keita will leave Liverpool on a free transfer," Fabrizio Romano has tweeted.

"No changes on the plan for him and Oxlade-Chamberlain, decisions are made since November — and same will happen for Arthur Melo's loan. Keita, considering many options to try a new challenge soon," he added.

Some fans in the comments agree that the Guinean has been the biggest flop of Jurgen Klopp's era so far.

💭 KloppTheUnyielding (Reddit): "Without question. The physio has seen him more than the pitch."

💭 PornFilterRefugee (Reddit): "He’s been worse than underwhelming. He’s been a colossal disaster."

💭 TheLimeyLemmon (Reddit): "Easily. The price tag, the wait, the amount of big games missed. He'd score a banger every now and then, but often in entirely inconsequential circumstances. He wasn't available for most of the important games of the Klopp era despite being here for so much of it.

💭 Lyrical_Forklift (Reddit): "Yeah absolutely. It's a frustrating one because there was an actual player there that would fit in so perfectly to how Klopp likes to play but was just completely and utterly decimated by injuries."

💭 gh0stbeard (Reddit): "Only because he couldn’t stay fit. I really think he could have been fantastic if he wasn’t so brittle. He could never get an extended run of games and when he was fit it would usually take him a few games to get up to speed and just when he would put in a good performance he would get injured again like clockwork. More unlucky than anything."

Naby Keita has made 129 appearances for Liverpool since 2018, registering 18 goal contributions. The 28-year-old has missed over 80 matches through injuries.
