Curtis Jones started five league games for Liverpool this month — before that, he didn't start a single game in five months.
The 21-year-old, who plays on the left side of midfield, balances Trent's new role, and has been praised for his work rate, tackling and accurate, even if perhaps too safe, passing.
Fabinho has hailed the Englishman, who has had an unexpected resurgence in April.
“Curtis came into the team some games ago and he's playing really well,” the Brazilian told Liverpool's official website.
“I think it's really important to have a player like him playing [at] the highest level because he really helps us. And then we changed some things in our system.
“I know his quality. He's the kind of player that always looks ready. I don't know how many games he was on the bench or not even on the bench [but] when he came into the starting XI, he always played good. That's why I say he's already ready.”
