Klopp hints at Adrian stay & 3 more under-radar stories at Liverpool today

Villa referee appointed

Rookie John Brooks will be taking charge of the Liverpool vs Aston Villa clash in the Premier League on Saturday, May 20, it has been confirmed.

The 32-year-old official has so far only refereed one game involving the Reds in the top flight: a 1–0 defeat away at Bournemouth back in March. He was also the fourth official that Jurgen Klopp celebrated in front of after the match-winning goal against Tottenham.

Lovren lifts lid on Salah's training regime

Speaking to LFCTV, Dejan Lovren said: "You don't know how much effort Mohamed Salah is putting into his body to be what he is. It's not just like that he's scoring every year 25, 30 goals.

"He's putting in really, really hard work. Sometimes after training I'm just sitting on the sofa, watching TV, and this guy he's answering from his swimming pool and saying; 'Yeah, let me finish my swimming session'."

Loanee Van den Berg opens up on stressful uncertainty

"There have already been initial talks with those responsible about remaining at Schalke. But we have to wait. Our last two games are the most important now," Liverpool loanee Sepp van den Berg told WAZ at the end of the season he spent in Germany.

"At some moments it is difficult and stressful not to know in which country I will be living in a few months. You would like to settle down in one place. If one day my home club Liverpool would tell me I could stay and get my caps that would be great, but now I’m at Schalke and I want the team to achieve our goal of staying up. After the end of the season I will be back in Liverpool to talk about the near future."

Klopp hints at Adrian stay

"Adrian, if we don't say goodbye [already] what would that mean? That he probably stays, but if there is nothing in the papers then it is not decided yet finally," Jurgen Klopp said when asked about Adrian whose contract expires next month.

"We will not do it [say goodbye] just in case, but I have a rather good feeling that we [will] keep working together in that position."
