Liverpool confirm contract offer for Adrian as club publish retained list

At the academy level, Jack Bearne, Liam Hughes, Charlie Hayes-Green, Oscar Kelly, Fidel O’Rourke, Oludare Olufunwa and Iwan Roberts have all been released.

Paul Glatzel, Jacob Poytress and Reece Trueman have received contract offers.

“He has improved a lot. When I arrived in 2019 he was still a kid with good ability. Now he’s a man. He has shown that he could play as a number one in the Premier League," he said.

"To maintain the level of consistency he’s shown every season, it’s really hard. It comes down to his work ethic.

"A hundred clean sheets is a great achievement for him. Of course defenders, midfielders and strikers have helped too. You could have Spiderman in goal but it wouldn’t work unless everyone does their jobs."

Adrian can have no complaints about being behind Alisson in the pecking order. The Brazilian was arguably
