 have confirmed. The forward previously had a no. 23 squad number.

"Supporters who have already purchased the 23-24 home jersey printed with the name Luis Diaz and number 23 on will be personally reimbursed by the attacker with a like-for-like exchange," the club added in a statement.

I don't think the decision lies entirely with Klopp, if a player wants a jersey Klopp normally doesn't stop them unless if the jersey is already taken or reserved for someone. Trent could have changed his number years ago but he preferred to stick to his 66 because he wants to make it iconic. I doubt he'll change but I think he deserves it if he moves to midfield

I wonder who will be given the number 8 or can be be qualified to wear cos in mine opinion there is only one stevie Gerrard n hopefully one day liverpool have one Gerrard
