'He's a winner': Leiva names one player who must step up and be a leader after Firmino and Milner's departure

Former Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva has said that Trent Alexander-Arnold must step up and be a leader, with Roberto Firmino and James Milner having departed.

"He's a winner. He's young still but he's already a leader. He's been playing five, six seasons as a starter.

"Millie and Bobby left, so he will now step up, for sure, and become one of the leaders of the team – not just because of his quality but also because of his presence as well and what he's done for the club in the last few years.

"It will be another good season for him to keep growing and keep improving as a player, as a leader, as a man. I think it will be important."
