My opinion. You don't need to be loud or vocal to have leadership qualities as a captain. I'm not sure if that is a requirement for the job!

5 years ,  VVD joined liverpool, at that time people were asking if he should be made captain he answered that he did not want the job,maybe out of respect to Hendo.

That makes sense! Respect and leading by example at that moment speak volumes of VVD. Now, he needs to step up in every way possible to silence some of our fans and especially his countrymen!

absolutely agree with you l thought he would get the captains job well before now what a star he has been for us,and will ,be for a long long time, l felt virgyl was protecting himself in the last campaign, but this time he should ,l hope be back to his very best form,if it hadn't been for that blue nosed goalkeeper we definitely wouldn't have been in that mess we got into,my god l hate that bastard.
