'Pretty embarrassing for Liverpool': Alan Shearer reacts to Moises Caicedo drama

According to Alan Shearer, Caicedo's decision to wait for 

 to negotiate a move there is uncomfortable for the Reds.

"It’s pretty embarrassing for Liverpool if that is the case," the former Newcastle star said on The Rest Is Football.

"They’ve gone we will agree a deal for £111m, and then all of a sudden it’s ‘no thanks, I don’t fancy coming to you, I’m going to London.’ That is not a good look for Liverpool."

Chelsea are yet to submit the bid, however, and Liverpool are yet to withdraw their offer as they wait to see if Chelsea are bluffing that they can pay more.

Chelsea to parade Moises Caicedo ahead of Liverpool clash — even Blues fans are baffled

Chelsea are taking being petty to a whole other level with their latest decision on Moises Caicedo. 

According to several top sources, Liverpool are now no longer in the race for the midfielder, who wishes to join Chelsea instead. 

As if winning the battle to sign Caicedo was not enough, Chelsea are now planning to flaunt him in a full-on parade ahead of our Premier League opener with them on Sunday. 

The game will be played at Stamford Bridge, making it the perfect opportunity for Todd Boehly and his cronies to parade Caicedo around like a trophy. 

Some Blues' fans though believe the move is unnecessary and would rather just get off to a winning start. Here are some reactions from

He didn't say he doesn't want us, he had settled with Chelsea and was only waiting for Chelsea and Brighton to agree a fee, it was almost a done deal before we stepped in; it is only normal for him to not jump at us. Mentally he was at Chelsea already, probably chatting with the lads over there and making family and life affecting plans. I believe he is still coming to LFC.

Liverpool should forget Caicedo. The boy said he doesn't want us. How do you blame him if he doesn't play well? He should go to his darlings Chelsea, and good luck to him. My only concern is that we should beat them thoroughly tomorrow. That will be the only way to show our anger. That's all.
