Germany 'dreaming' of Klopp after firing Flick as manager 9 months before Euros at home

After a 4-1 defeat in a friendly against Japan, the German FA decided to sack head coach Hansi Flick.

The treble-winner with Bayern Munich had a disastrous spell with the national team, getting knocked out from the World Cup at the group stage and winning just three out of the last 12 games in charge.

As always in such a situation, the eyes are turned to Jurgen Klopp, the most successful German manager who is open to managing his national side one day.

Bundesliga reporter Jan Aage Fjortoft claims: "The Germans’ dream is Klopp. Probably tell him he can do BOTH Liverpool and German. But guess he will turn that down"

The boss extended his contract with Liverpool until 2026. So far, there are no indications that he will consider going back on the deal.
