Caoimhin Kelleher is set to miss the Union Saint-Gilloise game through knee injury, Ireland head coach Stephen Kenny has confirmed.
The Liverpool goalkeeper was not included in Ireland's squad for the upcoming international games.
Kenny said, as quoted by Anfield Watch: "Caoimhin, we got the call he got 12 stitches in a knee joint. Sometimes with stitches, if it's a calf or a thigh or a facial injury, you can get on with it, but you can't if it's on the joint, it just reopens all the time.
"It's unfortunate for him, cause he's played in the Europa League, and he was going to play three games in a row, he was going to play tonight, so it's just unfortunate for him."
The Irishman was expected to feature for the Reds tonight but now it's safe to assume that Alisson will be between the sticks.
