Brighton were denied a penalty in their 2-2 draw with Liverpool and the Reds and the VAR review confirmed the on-field decision.
Roberto De Zerbi was visibly agitated with the decision and had to be calmed down by Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp.
De Zerbi said after the game; "In that situation, I think there was a clear penalty and I told the referee in a good way I think."
Former Premier League referee shared his thoughts on why the penalty was not awarded and said that he would have been very surprised if it had resulted in a spot-kick.
"The evidence is there for everyone to see," started Gallagher when reviewing the moment.
"It clearly strikes his thigh, his arm is by his side, it bounces at a few feet and hits him.
"There's no doubt about that, but you would be absolutely stunned if a penalty was given for that."
