Pep Guardiola had already been dealt an injury scare with Erling Haaland having picked up an ankle injury. It was later reported to not be a serious one and he is expected to be fit for the game.
Jack Grealish and Phil Foden were involved in England's clash with North Macedonia in Skopje on Tuesday and suffered bad cuts after playing on the poor pitch
"I have got cuts all over,” the Grealish said after the game. “The pitch was awful. It baffles me how pitches like that are acceptable, to be honest.
“There were like little stones everywhere. Phil has cut his hand because of the stones on the pitch, but yes, it is part of what you are going to get to some places."
It would be highly unlikely that either player would be unavailable for the Liverpool clash unless they have a deep gash that would need time to heal.
Regardless, Jurgen Klopp would be prepping to take all three points away from Manchester during the early kick-off on Saturday.
