'I'm tired': Klopp on yet another early kick-off after international break

Liverpool have been handed yet another early kick-off after an international break and this time it's a clash with the league leaders and current champions Man City.

Jurgen Klopp has been vocal about the disproportionate number of games Liverpool have been allotted in the early kick-off but to no avail.

He was asked about this week's lunch-time kick-off and he said he is tired of repeating himself.

“My English isn’t good enough to make sure you all understand it, so why should I waste my time? Or your time?” Klopp said. “Not 12.30, but the general schedule.

“Thomas Tuchel had an interesting [comment]. He explained completely calm why it’s difficult to be a high quality footballer with the national team and stuff like this.

“And the German newspaper made [a headline], ‘Tuchel had a rant’. I watched it and thought, ‘that’s a rant’? That’s a difficult world, he was completely calm.

“So try to get a translation of that, then you know about the schedule, and they have less games than we have in England!

“Nobody wants to hear it. You don’t want to hear it, nobody wants to hear it or my explanation. I tried a couple of times, whatever I say, you always say ‘but is that much difference’?

“I’m a bit tired of that.”

The 'rant' by Tuchel that Klopp was referring to was in relation to fixture congestion earlier this week.

“It’s about television rights and the TV stations can choose their teams. We were talking about it, it’s the second time we play Friday away,” said Tuchel.

“Alphonso and Min-Jae are returning today from very long journeys and it’s obviously very unfortunate scheduling. It will be spoken of as an excuse but if you’ve heard Jurgen Klopp, they’re playing on Saturday at 12:30 against Man City, we are playing tomorrow (Friday) away.

“It’s borderline, or maybe even over the line already.”
