'He shouted "Will you shut the f*** up!"': Milner reveals dressing room clash with Klopp

James Milner has shared a story from his Liverpool days when he clashed with Jurgen Klopp during half-time.

“He was pretty good, he was open,” the midfielder said on the High Performance podcast of his relationship with the gaffer. “Not so at half-time.

“We had one moment where he was sharing his thoughts and I was sharing mine and I remember him smashing his hands on down the table and shouting, ‘Will you shut the f**k up!’

“But Jurgen was brilliant, we had a great relationship and we were great off the pitch.”

Milner spent eight years at Liverpool, making 332 appearances. He epitomised the work ethic and the never-say-die mindset during his time at the club.
