Victor Osimhen won the African Player of the Year award. The Napoli striker has hailed Mo Salah and Achraf Hakimi, who finished second and third, respectively.

Premier League clubs have voted to set a maximum limit of 5 years for new player contracts to be amortised in their accounts.

This means the loophole Todd Boehly exploited to sign an army of new, expensive players, while staying within FFP regulations, has now been plugged.
