Trent & 3 more Liverpool players who can play at no. 6 after Mac Allister injury

Alexis Mac Allister is reportedly sidelined until January 1 with a knee injury. The Argentine is expected to miss six Liverpool games.

The World Cup winner has primarily featured in the no. 6 position. Who could replace him in the upcoming games, with Stefan Bajcetic also injured?

1. Wataru Endo. The Japanese was bought to play in this position. Macca has been playing there because Endo's adaptation to the Premier League is going slowly. But it's a great opportunity for Wataru to step up and prove he's good enough to start for the Reds.

2. Trent Alexander-Arnold. The 25-year-old has featured for England in the midfield this season. Klopp also used him as a full-blown no. 6 in pre-season games. Joe Gomez or Conor Bradley, who's back from injury, could take his position on the right side of defence.

3. Ryan Gravenberch. The 21-year-old is a box-to-box player and is clearly more attack-minded than defence-minded but his pysicality, athleticism and ball-winning ability make him an excellent option at no. 6.

4. Curtis Jones. The Englishman is a no. 8, not a no. 6 but he has the positional awareness and necessary skills to play as an emergency holding midfielder.
