Two ways Liverpool could line up without Salah and Endo - shown in pics

Liverpool are going to be without Mohamed Salah and Wataru Endo for possibly the entirety of January due to their international duty.

Salah has travelled to play for Egypt in the Africa Cup of Nations, while Endo is going to be playing for Japan in the AFC Asian Cup.

Due to this, Jurgen Klopp will be forced into playing a few games without his two key players and have to shuffle around his team for the same.

Here we look at two ways Liverpool can line up for the upcoming matches without Salah or Endo.

Option 1: Jota at RW

There is a strong possibility that Diogo Jota gets moved to the right-wing role instead of Salah, because of his versatility.

He can cut in nicely from the wide areas and be a goal-scoring threat, as well as allowing Trent Alexander-Arnold to go wide and create chances. Meanwhile, Endo’s ideal replacement is likely to be Alexis Mac Allister – who is poised to return soon.

Option 2: Elliott out wide and Gakpo in midfield

Klopp could decide to slightly change up Liverpool’s shape for the upcoming games by having Cody Gakpo play as the most advanced midfielder.

Harvey Elliott is also capable of playing through the right and operating in a similar role as Salah. This could be tried against defensively weaker teams in case Liverpool are desperate for goals.
