Alonso more likely to stay at Bayer than join Liverpool or Bayern this summer (reliability: 4 stars)

German newspaper Bild reports that Xabi Alonso is currently more likely to stay at Bayer than to move to any other club in the summer.

The 42-year-old remains a top priority for both Liverpool and Bayern to replace Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel, respectively.

However, Bayern have already begun talks with Roberto De Zerbi as a plan B in case they fail to convince Alonso to choose them.

The Spaniard's contract with Leverkusen expires in 2026 and he wants to stay there at least until 2025.
