Harvey Elliott shared his thoughts on Liverpool's 3-3 draw with Aston Villa on Monday night.
The Reds were up by two going into the final five minutes of regulation time but capitulated right at the end.
“The last 10 minutes simply wasn’t good enough,” Elliott said. “We played into their hands and caused ourselves problems, and against a great team in Aston Villa that’s the consequence.
“A point is a point, not what we wanted, but we can build on it and put things right at the weekend.
“We can all feel it, especially this kind of end part of the season,” he said when told that this was Liverpool's 10th league draw.
“We’ve had too many draws which should have been wins and unfortunately that’s the way our season has gone.
“But as I keep saying, it’s something that we can reflect on. We’ve been in this situation before so if it comes to it again next season or the seasons after, we’ve been in that situation and we know how to battle it out.”
