'Man United fans going to kill me': Beckham pays tribute to Klopp

Jurgen Klopp leaves Liverpool after nine unforgettable years at the club. The German has left a mark on the Reds and has been an influence and an inspiration in the Premier League and beyond.

David Beckham said on the Smartless podcast: "Even as a Man United fan I love Jurgen. I love his character, his personality and what he brings to the sport.

"I am going to get killed by some of my Man United friends, I am sad to see him leave. What he has done for the club and the sport has been incredible."

Beckham owns Inter Miami in the MLS so he was told that he should appoint Klopp as the head coach. "We've not got much money left," the Englishman quipped.
