Speaking on Match of the Day, Gary Lineker said: "Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp, you'd play for either wouldn't you? I think you'd probably enjoy playing for Klopp more. Whereas Pep, I suspect is more demanding.
"He might actually [anger] players occasionally. I don't know, but not that that matters, but I think Pep is a genius. A footballing genius, I should say. For me, he's the number one of all time, not just now.
"I'd have him ahead of Sir Alex Ferguson. Fergie brilliant but did he rethink the game tactically? Not so much. For me, it's Pep. Klopp is unbelievable and if it was any other time I would say Klopp but not with Pep here."
Guardiola's record at Manchester City overshadows Klopp's success at Liverpool but the two managers were operating under different circumstances.
The Spaniard and his club will also have to answer for 115 charges of financial violations while the German's record at Anfield is crystal clear.
