Red Bull Leipzig star Dani Olmo is being linked with a summer move to Liverpool. Recent reports say that Liverpool is now ahead of Barcelona in the race to sign the Spanish international. Olmo, who can play in both midfield and on the wing, has a release clause of £51 million that can be activated before July 15.
The Spaniard has previously shared his thoughts on his future. He said: "Right now I don't think about that [his future], only about the next games. We have three competitions ahead of us."
"Things happen so fast in football, things can change all the time. I have my adviser who takes care of it. Me I only focus on football. I want to go back to Spain some day, it would be great. It is my country, my league. My family and friends live there. But I am not only tied to Spain."
"The most important thing for me is to play in a club where I feel loved and important. Like here in Leipzig. I played for Barcelona for six years when I was young. It will always be a home for me. A lot of my friends from the national team play there."
This season, Olmo scored eight goals and provided five assists in 25 games, helping Leipzig finish fourth in the Bundesliga.
The 26-year-old is expected to play in the European Championship in Germany this summer with Spain. The Spanish team will start their campaign against Croatia on June 15.
