'I have trust in the club': Trent Alexander-Arnold delivers verdict on Arne Slot appointment

Trent Alexander-Arnold caught up with reporters at the F1 Monaco GP where he was asked about the appointment of Arne Slot as Liverpool's head coach earlier this week.

"I have trust in the club and who we’ve appointed," Trent told Sky Sports.

"As a player, that’s all you can ask for, to trust the higher-ups. I’m sure it’ll be a smooth transition."

Slot will have massive shoes to fill, but he will have a bigger club structure to help him after the return of Michael Edwards who is building what promises to be a strong executive team.

As for Trent, he is set to play at the Euros before returning to Merseyside. Gareth Southgate sees him as a midfielder — we'll see if Slot has similar ideas.
