Klopp and Lijnders asked to name their most important Liverpool player — they disagree

In the days after their departure from Liverpool, Jurgen Klopp and Pep Lijnders were both asked to name the player who they thought to be the most influential during their time at Anfield.

Intriguingly, they disagreed.

Jurgen Klopp delivered the following advice on building a great team: "Build it around Bobby Firmino!"

His former assistant, however, picked Alisson: "The one who made everything possible. Without this guy, no chance. No chance, no chance. You need a good, good goalkeeper to win trophies."
