Premier League clubs expected to keep VAR, Liverpool stance confirmed

Wolves' motion to scrap VAR from Premier League games next season is not expected to pass.

At least 14 clubs must vote in favour of the rule change for it to be approved. According to journalist Ben Jacobs, that's not expected to be the case.

As reported previously, Liverpool will be among the clubs voting to persist with VAR. That is despite some big errors committed against them, including the most notable blunder when Luis Diaz's goal against Tottenham was ruled out for inexistent offside.

Naturally, Liverpool share concerns over how the system operates and will welcome ideas on how to improve it.

Other big clubs, such as Arsenal and Chelsea, are also expected to vote to keep VAR in the Premier League. The vote takes place on June 6.
