Liverpool are actively working on a deal to sign Lille’s young defender Leny Yoro in the summer transfer window.
As per CaughtOffside, the Reds have even made their first contract offer to the Frenchman along with the salary they’re willing to offer.
Liverpool are ready to offer him a salary of around €6m-7m-per-year and want the 18-year-old to sign a long-term contract with them.
This is a huge increase from his current wage package at Lille, where the youngster only receives around €360,000-a-year.
Liverpool are ready to ensure that Yoro earns in the same wage package as players like Andy Robertson, Dominik Szoboszlai and Cody Gakpo if he accepts their offer.
Yoro is reportedly keen on a move to Real Madrid this summer. However, with Los Blancos refusing to pay the €60m required to sign him, that can work to Liverpool’s advantage and help them sign the promising centre-back.
