Deeney wants credit for Watford's display: 'We made United bad'

Troy Deeney believes Man United's 2-0 defeat at Watford on Sunday was down to the Hornets getting the best out of their opponents.

Speaking after the Vicarage Road clash, the 31-year-old said: "I am very pleased with the result. We needed that very badly because it would have been difficult to go beyond Christmas without a win.

"Performance wise we were probably played better last week, but I'm delighted how we approached the game. We have given the fans something to cheer.

"It's gonna be about how bad Man United were, but we have to take credit for ourselves, we made them bad."
