Solskjaer provides injury update on four United absentees ahead of Wolves

Axel Tuanzebe, Eric Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Marcos Rojo are all nearing their injury comebacks and are set to return to action in the following weeks, according to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

“There’s a little bit of illness in the camp, but that’s normal through this time of year, so we just have to find out tomorrow who’s waking up okay,” the boss told MUTV on Friday.

“Apart from that, players are coming back from injuries. Hopefully, we can see Axel soon. Tim and Eric are going to play Reserves games soon, hopefully.

Diogo’s back obviously, Marcos Rojo hopefully soon back, so we’re getting there.”

Axel has been out since the Carabao Cup quarter-final win over Colchester. Eric returned to first-team training on Monday after recovering from a long-term knee problem.

Tim is yet to play for the Red Devils this term due to a knee injury. Marcos has been sidelined since early November.

United take on Wolves in the FA Cup third round at Molineux on Saturday. The Red Devils will be without Paul Pogba and Scott McTominay who are set to miss one and two months with injuries respectively.
