Just two 2s (one for Matic, highest mark) for outfield players: ranking United players in AZ draw

Dalot - 5.5

A decent offensive shift before the break but went into the background for the closing '45. One flashing run and that's about it.

Williams - 5

Some on the web single him out but in reality, not once did William threaten the opposition. Doing the basic thing of running up and down – yes. Anything more was a luxury for the 19-year-old. Won some balls at least.

Matic - 6

Much better than folks try to make him look. Virtually the only player capable of dribbling, carrying the ball forward, and not losing it. Unafraid to take on a number of opponents. Fans somehow make him a scapegoat.

Fred - 2

Horrible. The Brazilian doesn't contribute at all. His through balls are dire, his ball control is hopeless, his vision is that of a blind man. Even when he pulls off a sweet turn with the ball his next act is a misplaced pass. Urgh.

Greenwood & Gomes - 4

Here's one for calling Mason and Angel our Messis and saviours. The 19-year-old disappeared completely and those rare moments he touched the ball he looked tired (could be Solskjaer's training regime again). Greenwood had a brilliant chance to score but it's arguably understandable he didn't. More wasn't created for him.

The rest: De Gea - 8; Lindelof - 6; Rojo - 5; Mata - 4; James - 5; Rashford - 4; Lingard - 4; McTominay - 6.
