Madrid allegedly enter the race for United-linked Haaland

According to Spanish publication Diario AS, Real Madrid have added Red Bull Salzburg striker Erling Braut Haaland to their transfer wishlist. The Norwegian sensation emerged as a target for United after scoring a hat-trick on his Champions League debut last month.

The La Liga giants are said to be ready to move for the 19-year-old already in January.

A son for a former Leeds and City defender Alf-Inge Haaland is open to the Premier League switch. He previously spent almost two years playing under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer at Molde.

“He has had a huge impact on my life, both as a person and as a trainer,” Haaland said of Ole. “He won the Champions League and was an incredibly good player. He has taught me a lot. Solskjaer is a fantastic person and a very good coach. He is one of the reasons I am here today.”

The Norway international has 18 goals and 5 assists in 11 appearances for Salzburg this season.
