Marca: Real Madrid prepared to let Bale go on loan

Real Madrid are unlikely to sell Gareth Bale off but they are ready to let the 29-year-old attacker leave on loan. Despite occasional sparks of brilliance (Champions League final brace), the Welshman has never properly settled at one of the best clubs in the world.

Manchester United were often mentioned as a potential destination for Bale in the past. A loan could be an opportunity to get things going but that's no more than a speculation.

Bale earns even more than Alexis Sanchez, roughly £500,000-a-week gross. Marca claim there is still a pool of clubs able to afford to pay those wages. It's not specified whether Madrid would share the burden of paying the player his salary.

This season, Bale has only played 53 per cent of available minutes with his club. He's a constant victim of jeers from the club's fans. When he came on as a sub against Athletic Bilbao last weekend, his each move was met with whistles from the stands.

Zinedine Zidane publicly said he will decide Bale's future in the summer. The attacker will turn 30 in July.

Would you take him on loan for a season?
