Marcos Rojo withdraws from Argentina squad for November friendlies

The Argentine FA have confirmed Marcos Rojo will miss the Albiceleste' upcoming international friendlies against Brazil and Uruguay. The governing body provides no reason for the defender's withdrawal.

The 29-year-old withdrew from the squad on Sunday after he featured as a second-half substitute for Brandon Williams in the 3-1 win over Brighton.

Watford midfielder Roberto Pereyra has also been ruled out with no explanation provided.

Argentina take on Brazil on Friday, November 15 before facing Uruguay on Monday, November 18.
