McTominay not as good as Jose thinks, Shaw quiet again: post-West Ham player ratings

Scott McTominay - 3

Jose Mourinho said he loved Scott's performance. We think he was just a poor kid thrown into a position he shouldn't occupy. But since he was, he can't escape the low mark.

Paul Pogba - 4

Very very quiet, maybe even resigned. For all the talk the manager doesn't suit him, Pogba's poor decisions were made with his own feet in that game. The chip to Lukaku (supposedly) was the final straw before the sub as it epitomised Paul's afternoon.

Luke Shaw - 4

Nowhere as good offensively as he was in the last games and was outplayed on multiple occasions by a much older opponent in Pablo Zabaleta. At least, he gave his shirt to the fans at the end.

Ashley Young - 5

Assisted Marcus Rashford and almost gathered an assist earlier when Romelu Lukaku hit the bost from his bending cross. The main threat didn't come via his flank.

Anthony Martial - 5

Drift across the pitch but practically to no avail. Almost any good decision was followed by a defective pass (as is tradition with Tony).

Marcus Rashford - 6

He scored a goal which was perhaps more than United deserved in that game.

Who would you name a positive in the game?
