The Spanish midfielder is United's best goalscorer from the current squad with 41 goals for the club. It took him 143 games since January 2014 to become the top scorer despite playing as the midfielder. The 30-year-old footballer's most productive season was the 2014/15 when he netted 10 goals in all competitions.
The Spaniard has also been the best free-kick scorer since his 2011's debut in the Premier League.
The other top-3 United players with the most goals from the current squad are Anthony Martial (38) and Marcus Rashford (33). The former has become the club's top goalscorer of the 2015/16 season having netted 17 goals in all competitions while the latter seems to be progressing every year since his debut with 8, 11 and 13 goals in the 2015/16, 2016/17 and 2017/18 seasons respectively.
