Victor Lindelof is immensely grateful to Jose Mourinho as he gets along with the head coach. Another link that exists between the two is the Portuguese language that is native to the boss and familiar to the defender after years of playing for Benfica.
When asked what language he uses to speak to Mourinho, Lindelof told the local Swedish outlet Aftonbladet: ''Portuguese. I'm to use so I do not forget it.''
He then discussed what makes their bond special: ''He has been very good at almost everything. He gives me tips on how to think, how to evaluate situations and gives me…what’s in Swedish: confidence?''
Vigge shed even more light on his relationship with the boss: ''Ever since I came, he told me to do my thing, that’s why I’m here. It’s been good, but I know I can do more. Especially when we have the ball, I want to show even more what I can do, because people have only seen fifty per cent of what I can do. Mourinho pushes me to believe in myself.''
