Not Man United, not Liverpool: Tottenham named Premier League's most valuable club

According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur have emerged as the most valuable Premier League club ahead of the likes of Manchester United, Liverpool and even Manchester City.

An extensive study conducted by University of Liverpool Management School football finance expert Kieran Maguire has revealed that Tottenham's savvy business model has helped the club outperform its rivals.

With an overall club value of £2.567billion, Tottenham have only risen upwards from their £1.837bn valuation of 2018.

City came second with a value of £2.2bn while United were placed third with £2.080bn. Liverpool, meanwhile, could only secure the fourth spot with a value of £1.627bn, despite winning the Champions League last season.

Earlier, United were second on the list with City at the top. But now that Tottenham have leapfrogged to the first position, it has created a domino effect of sorts among the clubs.

Daily Mail goes on to add that most clubs will take a significant hit during this time, owing to the coronavirus pandemic that has halted footballing action for the foreseeable future.
