Times: Manchester United to reassess David De Gea's future after Spurs howler
  • Man United returned to the Premier League action on Friday.
  • De Gea's mistake led to a Tottenham goal with the game ending in a draw.
  • The Red Devils are ready to consider replacing the Spaniard as the first-choice goalkeeper.

It appears that it has taken David De Gea just one game back to put his long-term Manchester United's future in jeopardy.

According to The Times, a tier-one source, the Spaniard's position at the club is being 'seriously discussed' following the 1-1 draw at Tottenham on Friday.

The 29-year-old let Steven Bergwijn's weak shot get past himself in the first half against Jose Mourinho's side as the shot-stopper's 2019/20 campaign continues to be plagued by inconsistency.

The Times' report adds that should De Gea's poor run of form continue, Man United chiefs would be open to giving Dean Henderson a run as the no.1 goalkeeper next season.

However, it remains to be seen whether the Englishman is ready to become a key player for the Red Devils. The 23-year-old conceded three goals for Sheffield United against Newcastle on Sunday.

Still, it's clear that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will have to make a monumental decision in the summer transfer window as the Norwegian looks to transform his ambitions side into genuine Premier League contenders.
