Man United reportedly remain interested in Kalidou Koulibaly, won't pay more than €80m

It appears that Manchester United's interest in Kalidou Koulibaly is genuine despite the fact that reinforcing the defence is not believed to be Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's priority.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, a respected source, the Red Devils have made an offer to Napoli for the Senegalese although the two clubs are far away from reaching an agreement.

The Italian outlet claim that while the Serie A giants are open to letting the centre-back leave, they are staying firm on their €100 million valuation. Man Utd, meanwhile, are refusing to go a penny over €80 million.

Liverpool and Paris Saint-Germain are said to be interested in the 29-year-old as well but have yet to make an official offer, as per Sky Italia.

Koulibaly has made 23 appearances for Napoli in all competitions so far this week, helping the Serie A giants beat Juventus on penalties in the Coppa Italia Final last week.
