ESPN: Solskjaer wants Sancho deal done as soon as possible to avoid another protracted transfer saga
  • Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made it clear that he wants Man United to speed up their pursuit of signing Jadon Sancho, according to ESPN.
  • The Norwegian wants to avoid a repeat of last season’s lengthy move for Harry Maguire, a deal which stretched nearly two months before United paid £80m for his arrival.
  • United are said to be in pole position to sign Sancho but a lack of competitors for him has them thinking that they can shoot down Borussia Dortmund’s £100m valuation.
  • Ed Woodward is said to be preparing a £50m offer, but Ole and his coaching staff have made it clear that they want to see a more realistic offer put in for Dortmund to consider.
  • Dortmund have reportedly agreed to accept a £60m initial fee for Sancho along with future add-on payments and Ole will now want Woodward to make a serious bid to get the signing done at the earliest.
