Speaking to RB Live about RB Leipzig’s opponents in the UEFA Champions League group stages, Angelino said (as quoted by Goal): “I don’t know that much about Basaksehir. We know Paris from the semi-finals in the tournament in Lisbon.
“What I’ve seen from Manchester United so far: sometimes they’re world-class, sometimes they’re average. We don’t have to hide.”
While this statement isn’t entirely incorrect considering how inconsistent Man United have been in recent months, Angelino should hope he doesn’t face us in our ‘world-class form’.
The former Man City man was humbled the last time he faced the Red Devils in our Manchester Derby win at the Etihad Stadium last year, when Dan James gave him terrors. Now with Mason Greenwood to come up against him, he should be careful what he wishes for before the Champions League clash against Leipzig in a few weeks.
