Edinson Cavani is a man of culture – and nature: 5 almost anti-footballer hobbies El Matador has
  • Edinson Cavani is unlike most footballers of the modern era. He prefers a simple life surrounded by his loved ones - and lots of nature!
  • The Manchester United striker is a world-class player and at 33, he's still going strong. In addition to the high-profile job, Cavani always makes time for his many interesting hobbies:

Ballet dancing

Cavani found a 'place of refuge' in ballet dancing during his tenure with Paris Saint-Germain. He's even participated in a campaign to promote the art form and remove the stigma that surrounds men who take up ballet.

Hunting

Edinson's father Luis told The Telegraph in 2014: "It's always been football first, then hunting for Edi. He loves it and he's a good shot at both!"

Having grown up amidst nature, it is no surprise that Cavani loves hunting. We hear he's also a fan of fishing.

Farming

After leaving PSG, Cavani spent time on his family farm and actually did the daily chores to keep the place running.

Cavani shared a video of working on his farm last year

The 33-year-old is also an expert at shearing sheep! He's known to promote Uruguayan wool and is unafraid to get his hands dirty in the job.

Hiking

What better way to celebrate your debut goal for United than taking a hike? He celebrated his first goal for the Red Devils and he went hiking somewhere in the North West of the UK.

He proudly shared a selfie with a sandwich in hand - which brings us to the next point.

Cooking

Believe it or not, El Matador is also quite a cook! He's shared videos of himself cooking a sausage dish on Instagram - and he also makes a mean 'mate' drink.
