Manchester United have confirmed Marcos Rojo's transfer to Boca Juniors, making him the 12th players Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has dropped from the team he inherited from Jose Mourinho in 2018.
- Marouane Fellaini, 31 years old (all ages at the time of exit)
Fellaini was the first player to leave under Solskjaer, joining Chinese Super League side Shandong Luneng on a permanent transfer in January 2019.
- Romelu Lukaku, 26 years old
Lukaku went AWOL from training to force through a move to Inter Milan in the summer of 2019 after falling down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
The Belgian has developed into one of the best strikers in Serie A under Antonio Conte, scoring 54 goals in 77 games across all competitions for Inter.
- Diogo Dalot, 21 years old
Dalot was sent on loan to AC Milan last summer, becoming part of the first team at San Siro. The full-back's future will be assessed at the end of the season.
The Portuguese has featured in 17 games for Milan so far this season and the Serie A giants are reportedly ready so spend £15 million to keep him.
- Matteo Darmian, 29 years old
Darmian had no future under Solskjaer and left for Parma in 2019. The full-back is yet another former Old Trafford currently player for Inter.
- Alexis Sanchez, 30 years old
The Chilean was put out of his Old Trafford misery when Solskjaer allowed him to join Inter on loan in August 2019; the transfer was then made permanent.
- Andreas Pereira, 24 years old
The Brazilian has failed to convince Solskjaer that he was it takes to play for Man United and the Brazilian was sent on loan to Lazio last summer.
Pereira has clocked just 511 minutes of action for the Eagles so far this season, playing his first full Serie A game only in December.
- Ander Herrera, 29 years old
Herrera has failed to agree a new deal at Old Trafford and signed for Paris Saint-Germain on a free transfer in the summer transfer window of 2019.
The Spain international seemingly has regrets about leaving the club, stating that he simply 'didn't feel the love' during his time in Manchester.
- Chris Smalling, 29 years old
The Englishman impressed on loan at AS Roma during the 2019/20 season and the transfer was made permanent ahead of the 2020/21 campaign.
- Antonio Valencia, 33 years old
Valencia was the captain when Solskjaer took over but with the Ecuadorian's best years clearly behind him, he left Old Trafford in the summer of 2019.
- Ashley Young, 34 years old
Young was given the armband by Solskjaer after Valencia's departure but the full-back ended up joining Inter on a permanent transfer in January 2020.
- Jesse Lingard, 28 years old
Lingard left Old Trafford on loan to West Ham in January 2021 and the Hammers will consider making his switch permanent at the of the season.
- Marcos Rojo, 30 years old
Rojo signed for Boca Juniors earlier this week after failing to make a single first-team appearance for the Red Devils in the 2020/21 campaign.
