When asked about Eric Bailly’s status for the Europa League clash against Granada, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said: “Eric is not available for tomorrow no. He has travelled back, yeah.”
He also spoke about Axel Tuanzebe playing instead, answering: “Axel has always been a very positive and hard working boy. Victor and Harry have formed a very good partnership, his chances have been limited. He is ready for this opportunity. I don't think (abuse) affected him.”
Ole also confirmed that Daniel James is fit for the game after missing the Tottenham Hotspur one, while Marcus Rashford is a doubt for this one.
Bailly tested positive for Covid-19 last week and had to stay back in his country of Ivory Coast for that reason. While he seems to have recovered from it, his lack of fitness means he won’t be available to feature for Man United in the second leg of the quarter-finals clash.
With Harry Maguire also ruled out, this means that Tuanzebe is primed for his first start in the Europa League campaign playing alongside Victor Lindelof on Thursday.
